This weeks challenge at The Rubber Cafe for the design team. was to make something for halloween home decor. I chose to decorate 3 wooden blocks and this is what they ended up looking like.

The little spider is made from Scrapbooking pearls and I drew the legs on with marker.

2 x 2 note cards

Little gift set of note cards I made for this weeks challenge at The Rubber Cafe.  I'm a member of their design team and every week we have a new challenge to post to their blog but we have to use their stamps/products.  I used stamps from two of their sets and my own paper I had in my stock.  I traced the envelopes from a template I had and voila 2 x 2 mini note cards. Great for a little thank you note or added onto a gift or just a surprise in someones bag or something.  My regular posting day is Tuesdays so come on over and take a gander. The new challenges are posted Every Thursday and if you participate (you dont need to use their stamps) you can get entered into a draw and get recognition on their blog.
So much fun come check them out. Great stamps too!!

Luggage Tags

I made 6 luggage tags for our suitcases for our trip to the BAHAMAS (woohoo so excited)
I'm hoping by laminating them they will last a few trips, I plan on attaching them with zapstraps.

I cut cardstock into luggage tag shapes, using the making memories travel album kit from a year or two ago. I tried to keep them as flat as possible so they'd go through a laminator machine and it seems to have worked.

I then stamped the passport and suitcase image from The Rubber Cafe and added them as shown.

I also reinforced the luggage tag hole with a eyelet using my crop-a-dile.

I also used scraphappy glue to adhere the buttons to the outside, it took a couple of days for it to stick properly on the plastic but now we'll just see if they last the trip or not.

Hope you liked my tags and I'd love to hear your comments on how you make your luggage easy to identify at the airport. Do you use ribbon, tags, stickers?????

Stamping DesignTeam

Well my friend Melissa from The rubber cafe & Pugnacious Stamps and Designs has a casting call for new design team members. I asked her to consider me for one of the spots. I just read today that they're going to pick 5 people then give them challenges to do and then they'll pick 2 from them as the lucky winners.

I really hope I get picked, it would give me a reason to scrap (card make) every week and I think it'd be fun. We get to make stuff with her stamps and then post them on their blog and what not. :)

I'm in the process of moving so I think I'll have to make sure I unpack my scrap stuff 1st thing, so I can work on the challenges......assuming I get picked as one of the 5.

Wish me luck.
