Challenge #1 for The Rubber Cafe design team call

I used this post Therubbercafe.com Design Team blog: With Sympathy as my inspiration for my first design team challenge. I liked the layout and I got to use my scallop punch and a couple of stamps actually purchased from The Rubber Cafe. (Passport & Suitcase)

With this card I used the masking technique to show the effect of the passport peeking up behind the suitcase, its a great way to have more than one stamped image without using up all your card space. I also popped up the image with foam tape but its difficult to see in the image.

  1. Sabrina...love your CAS card. The image looks great not colored. I have to admit that it is tough for me to leave images alone and not color them but that looks great! Good Luck!

  2. Kristine... well there's a couple of reasons why the images are not colored. #1 reason is I don't have anything to color them with LOL. Well I do have pencil crayons that I could have used I suppose, but they're still packed away "somewhere" (we just moved a couple of weeks ago and we're not all unpacked yet) but the main reason they're not colored is I just like how they turned out. Don't mess with a good thing right??!! I'd probably just end up making them looking too "fussy", if I fiddled around with them too much, sometimes simple is nice.
