Luggage Tags

I made 6 luggage tags for our suitcases for our trip to the BAHAMAS (woohoo so excited)
I'm hoping by laminating them they will last a few trips, I plan on attaching them with zapstraps.

I cut cardstock into luggage tag shapes, using the making memories travel album kit from a year or two ago. I tried to keep them as flat as possible so they'd go through a laminator machine and it seems to have worked.

I then stamped the passport and suitcase image from The Rubber Cafe and added them as shown.

I also reinforced the luggage tag hole with a eyelet using my crop-a-dile.

I also used scraphappy glue to adhere the buttons to the outside, it took a couple of days for it to stick properly on the plastic but now we'll just see if they last the trip or not.

Hope you liked my tags and I'd love to hear your comments on how you make your luggage easy to identify at the airport. Do you use ribbon, tags, stickers?????

3rd submission for the rubber cafe

3rd and final design team challenge...

Color challenge consisting of brown, blue and red.

I used the Inked poppy and the just because stamps from the rubber cafe.

I colored the flower with colored pencils and adhered everything together with scrap happy glue and the one & only tape.

Come on over to the rubber cafe blog and make your vote :) We all appreciate your support.

Challenge #1 for The Rubber Cafe design team call

I used this post Therubbercafe.com Design Team blog: With Sympathy as my inspiration for my first design team challenge. I liked the layout and I got to use my scallop punch and a couple of stamps actually purchased from The Rubber Cafe. (Passport & Suitcase)

With this card I used the masking technique to show the effect of the passport peeking up behind the suitcase, its a great way to have more than one stamped image without using up all your card space. I also popped up the image with foam tape but its difficult to see in the image.

Therubbercafe design team call

YAY I got accepted to participate in the challenges for the design team for therubbercafe.

They have 2 spots available and they picked 7 of us to participate.

First project is due next week so that means I've got some craft room organizing I've got to do ASAP!!!!... We just moved last week and although it's not TOO bad in my little room it's by no means ready to craft in.

Wish me luck and visit their blog often to see what's happening over the next
three weeks during the challenge process.
